Keep dry. I am unable to use a fixative on synthetic paper. Any liquid that comes in contact with the paper can reactivate the portrait and damage the image.

To prevent smudging the portrait or transferring oils from your hands to the paper, make sure your hands are clean & dry. Handle portrait paper only by the edges. (much like you would a photograph)

I highly recommend framing the finished portrait with a mat before framing. A mat will create physical barrier that will prevent smudging and discolouration over time. Keep white paper behind portrait when framing. The synthetic paper is semi transparent.

Keep portrait out of direct sunlight. This will help prevent discolouration from occurring.
