About Me
I sketched all throughout high school and for a few years during college. I loved it. Unfortunately, when the seriousness of life came knocking at my door, I decided to pack away my supplies to focus on a career instead.
In spring 2011, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my life was put on pause. Cancer forced me to reassess life and change many of my priorities. I ended up switching careers and in doing so, found new passions.
I joined the world’s first ever breast cancer dragon boat team, Abreast In A Boat. In 2016 I then decided to join a mixed outrigger paddling team, at False Creek Racing Canoe Club, in Vancouver.
Through a random series of events I was compelled to revisit my old art supplies. I was a recovering workaholic with time to try new things. Thank goodness I did!
On the water is where I am at peace. It’s the same calm I feel when I sketch. Both art and paddling allow me to slow down and appreciate the moment

My Personal Style: I revel in the details but at the same time my preference is for simplicity.
NOTE: In 2025, I will donate a portion of my pet portrait revenue to Saints Rescue (Senior Animals in Need Today Societ)
